M.I.A.

Sooooooooo......I have been M.I.A. for awhile now so I decided to post some updates because who knows with Christmas week fast approaching when I will be able to again! :)

So...um...wow...crazy times i tell you! Lol
Well to start off Jeff and I have been....well you guessed it, busy. Business has been BOOMING!

We are BEYOND thrilled! Jeff and I have been working on sign orders every night, staying up anywhere from 1 am - 3 am! We are a bit weary but very thankful! I have to say that we absolutely feel blessed, BLESSED to be able to do this! God is such an amazing God, such a mighty God! It amazes me that he placed this into our lives....WOW! Just another way to remind me how good He is and how much He wants to bless His beloved children! :)

Some of what we have been doing! :)

The kiddos are both doing very well right now and both are very excited for Christmas of course! Ella came up to me the other day and informed me she loved "Boobies" HA! I kid you not...i sat there and stared at her for a minute trying to figure out what she was trying to say....so i asked her to repeat herself and she replied "I want Boobies for Christmas Mom!" Lol

That is when it hit me....BARBIES! HA! Ella can talk really well and has been speaking in complete sentences for quite awhile now but there are still some words that we have to try and figure out what she is saying! I love two year old talk....it is hilarious! I couldn't WAIT for Jeff to get home that evening to inform him what his daughter said she loved....and watch the color drain out of his face! HA! Lol

My sweet Ella Lyric Ella and poor Pita...do you see the terror in
her eyes? Lol
Jeff and I decided to take the kids out to the movie theater to see Madagascar 2 (cute and funny) this evening which turned out to be a very chilly experience. We do not go to our local movie theater very often....but tonight we decided to give it a go. We ended up bonding very well because i swear it was atleast 55 - 60 degrees in there! We all huddled together for warmth! Lol Gavin and my niece Maddi had to sit together in one chair and we wrapped Jeff's jacket around them and Jeff snuggled with Ella while i got to hold the box of cold drinks and snacks and freeze.

Gavin had his Christmas program the other night and did wonderful! Last year he was so nervous and embarrassed that he spent the entire time looking at his friend Ethan instead of out into the audience and talking to him instead of singing. This year he was a pro! Lol It was called a Cowboy Christmas so he had to dress the part (which he loved) but when he came out with his boots and his Cowboy hat on he proudly announced that he looked "gangsta" Lol, Ah my son...I have no idea where he gets these things! He sure does know how to make me laugh though!

Gavin looking "gangsta" Ella adores her brother

Oh how i love those two!

So that is life right now.....signs, busy, boobies, late nights and good times. I love every minute of it! :)

( That is good right there....so very true.) Goodnight and i love you all~

Above and Beyond!

Sooooooooooooo, life has been in one word.....crazy. You will more than likely hear me use that one word to describe our life because it is crazy. Seems to be the best word to sum up the good, the bad and the busy. (Mostly good and busy)

This weekend gave me a rollercoaster of emotions but mostly made me realize just how blessed I really am! I always hear stories about how awful other people's inlaws are.....but I dont have any of those stories, in fact it is completly the opposite. God has blessed me with the honor of getting to be a part of one of the most amazing families ever! Friday and Saturday really placed that in my heart!

My family and I spent the evening with my sister in law and her family....we really just sat around, talked, laughed, ate, talked, laughed, ate HOMEADE pumpkin pie (not the icky store kind, we are talking straight from the pumpkin HOMEADE by my awesome sis in law) and enjoyed each other. I realized how blessed I am....I mean we are talking Eph. 3:20...those of you who know me BETTER NOT HAVE TO LOOK THAT UP!!! Lol just teasing....this is ONE of my absolute favorite bible verses (I have quite a few)

Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.

When i think of being blessed this is one of the verses that pops in my head....exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.....that is blessed!

anyhow to my in laws...thank you for being such an incredible blessing in my life, thank you for accepting and loving me as crazy and wierd as i am, thank you for making such an awesome impact in my life, thank you for being you! I love you all above and beyond! You are my blessings! I am so fortunate to have such an incredible family!

Here are some pics of the weekend.....love you all!

A very good day!

Today has been a great day, it didnt start out that way but it turned around!!

First things first, crazy how i posted that blog last night because I am so beyond thrilled to announce that Pita is BACK!!! A lady called me today and said she thought she had my dog and wanted to give her back! The crazy part in all of this is Pita was only about a 1/2 block away! Seriously??? Ah well, she is back and I am a very happy momma!! :) It is crazy how things happen when you really just surrender them to God and allow him to work His wonders....even over a silly ole dog.

Then on top of that the Bassett Hound that we have been trying to find a home for (thanks to Darren) has found a home!! She was a very sweet old dog and I am sad to let her go but it was time! Not very important to any of you but a HUGE relief to Jeff and I!!!

Anyhow Jeff and I are very happy tonight and feel quite a bit of relief!

The kiddos and I went to the park today to soak up the last bit of Summer/Fall??? sun we have been blessed with lately. Sigh. It was just a very good day! Come on Jesus! :)

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth....

I know I already blogged once today but I felt like I needed to blog about this......

The last seven days have been such a mixture of incredible and disappointing. For the first time in 5 1/2 yrs. Jeff and I were blessed with the opportunity to have a night away together which was incredibly needed since we are in such a busy, chaotic time of our lives. An incredible friend of ours wanted to bless us and decided to arrange everything for an all expenses paid night away.....which btw they scored some MAJOR brownie points from me and have since moved up to number one friend on our list.....KIDDING! Jeff and I were so amazed and grateful for such a gift! So on Thursday night as we were running around trying to get everything done so we could leave the next day I realized something that made my world stand still. My wedding ring was gone, not just accidently misplaced somewhere but GONE!

For all who know me and how anal i can be on organization and everything has to be put in its place (OCD all the way!) to lose something like this is huge. Massive. Colossal. Vast.

I have two very specific places i put my wedding ring when i do actually take it off and that is only when i am washing my hands or cooking so therefore easy answer, kitchen sink or bathroom sink. No it didnt go down a drain, spare you all the details but it is impossible for that to happen. We searched EVERYWHERE that evening until we finally had to give it up and give it to God. Im not a jewelry person to begin with, I could if i tried but that would take effort i dont currently have to spare. However the ONE piece of jewelry I did love had to just disappear?

Im sure in all reality Ella or Gav might have seen it sitting by the kitchen sink and decided to I dont know play with it, hide it, pawn it off at the local pawn shop for cash to buy a toy...who knows. Im still sulking about it....and my ring finger feels naked, I dont like it.

Then to top that on Monday my dog that I have had for about 5 1/2 yrs.....hhhmmm something just hit me about the dates, ah well maybe later.......Pita my sweet chihuahua who I treat as if she were a child of mine has gone missing. Once again those who know me and my love for that dog knows what a catastrophic ordeal this is for me. In fact the last time (about 4 yrs. ago) someone stole her from me I took them to court and sued them to get my dog back. Judge if you will but I love that dog.....I am a very passionate animal lover and I will do what it takes is all i have to say in my defense. (That and God is the one who placed this passion in me so take it up with him)

So my heart is feeling a little lost and kind of broken here lately, two very important things in my life are gone.....and yes two very material things. This has got me thinking...stand back

I was reading over Matthew 6:19-21

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

What is my treasure and where is my heart really?? Honestly??? We all have things here on this earth that are very dear to us and when something happens to those things it can be earth shattering. But is it the end of my world?? I hope i dont end it on a dog and a ring because my heart shouldnt be there! Yes those things are special but a ring is just a ring, my marriage doesnt depend on whether or not that ring is on my finger and as much as i love that dog...well you get the point.

Im really just rambling now but it comes down to how much i need to focus on where my heart is...at all times. Right now all i can say is Im going to have faith....as long as I am following Him I am on the right path and this is all under His plan. I can live with that.

As for the ring....maybe one day i will find it in the craziest place I never thought to look, (or perhaps at a pawn shop who knows) and as for my sweet Pita....I miss her and I still ache for her and Im going to have faith that one day she will come home to me.

Let's give it a try shall we???

Ok so I have had several inquiries about if I was going to ever start one of these so I figured I would finally give it a try.....so here we go!!! I really want to do this for my family that I dont get to see much and several friends that I dont get to connect with often enough!

I will just start things off with an update of life!

Jeff and I have been the busiest I think we have ever been in our lives together! As of right now his vinyl sign making business is BOOMING!! Every night we are working on orders that are coming in!! I am BEYOND proud and incredibly excited for Jeff and what he is doing, this has been exactly what he has needed and Im so thankful that God has blessed us with this business!

I took a break from my business after I had my gallbladder removed but I have still continued to recieve calls for different orders so I guess Im coming back from my break now! I am going to be in a couple of Christmas bizarres with some of my bows and tutus so i am currently working on that. I am excited to get back to work and start creating some new things!

Gavin is growing up way too fast for me, he seems to come home everyday more of an older boy! He is starting to enjoy 1st grade a little more (thank goodness) but still doesnt understand why they no longer have snack or nap time! :) He is excelling in both his math and reading but is ready for Thanksgiving break to get here! (So am i!) He loves teaching his sister things that drive mom crazy and blaming it all on her! Lol He is such a joy in our lives!

Ella is still our opinionated, girly girl, drama queen! :) She is currently in love with ANYTHING pink, princess, Barbie and books, books, BOOKS! She is such a sunshine in this family!! She is starting to talk ALOT and is taking after brother on not stopping for most of the day! :) She makes us laugh everyday with her crazy antics and different pronunciations and funny faces!

Well i think that is about it for now.....I suppose i will write some more when i have it!

Love you all and I hope most of you can find this....let me know!
